750 ml bottle purchased by a buddy on his travels through Western MA. Pitch black color with some white head that lingered awhile. Aroma is light smoke with floral and a touch of pine hops.
I compared this side by side with another Black IPA and the other brew wins. This is a good beer in its own right but has a lightly lacking body and mouthfeel. It still shows roasted notes, caramel, pine and floral hops. Hints of smoke with a charred malt texture. Still a nice brew for the style and worth a try without a doubt.

A good solid BIPA, and like the last rating said, its the same as the the Dark Element, not sure why the duplicate. Black oily pour, off white too tan head that is a beautiful bloom. Aroma of roasted malts and hops like a normal BIPA, smooth taste at first but became a little annoying flavor after awhile. Not bad sharer.

Bottle. Pours a clear dark brown with a grayish brown head that dissipated slowly to the edges and laced a bit. Aroma has a bit of a bit of a pine hop note with some dark grains and a hint of roast. Flavor began with dark grains and bread with the pine hops coming out a bit in the finish.

Pours deep mahogany into a Sam glass. Mocha head with good retention recedes leaving sheet lacing to coat surface. Dark caramel and resin aromas. Full and sweet upfront with dark chocolate turning to roasted nuts before the charred resin finish.
