Five hops and four malts make Hoptober Golden Ale a veritable cornucopia of the earth. Pale and wheat malt are mashed with rye and oats to create a medium-bodied ale with a creamy mouthfeel. Centennial, Cascade, Sterling, Willamette, and Glacier hops form a bonfire of citrus notes, fruity cheers and a bold finale.

bottle - Pours clear deep gold with a two finger, lasting white head. Hops dominates the aroma with notes of citrus and pine. The flavor has good, crisp hops and plenty of it with citrus accents and a clean malt character. Itโ€™s light to medium bodied and very drinkable.

Bottle. Golden beer with a whitish head. Hoppy, citrus, and sweet malt aroma. Citrus and light pine flavor with light earthiness and malt. Medium body. Refreshing, but with some good complexity. Grapefruit and light pine lingers with light earth.

12 oz bottle. Aroma is of sweet malt, some piney hops, apricot. Appearance is golden (obviously), has nice lacing, thin collar of foam. For a beer called "hoptober," thereโ€™s not much hop presence in the flavor (only in the aroma--aromatic hops?)--thereโ€™s more malt here than anything. Tastes like toasted biscuits. Okay, I took a break. As the beer sits, the hop flavor comes out. A nice bitterness lingers on the back of the tongue. Not a bad beer, but nothing Iโ€™d ever buy.

On tap at flying saucer. Pours a cloudy orange golden with a small frothy white head that leaves good sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is floral hops with grapefruit and grain. Thin mouthfeel with a smooth light hop and coriander with light citrus taste. Real easy to drink an impressive marzen from new belgium.

Pour is a clear gold with a soapy white head. Aroma is lots of pale malt with some pepper. Flavor is all things hop. The most hoppy golden ale i have ever had. More like a golden/IPA combo more than anything. Very sessionable and well worth it to pick up this tasty beer.

12oz bottle. Medium-light orange-tan color, foamy white head. Bitter west coast hop aroma, very nice. Solid malt underlying, not unlike a medium bodied Oktoberfest in some ways, but way different in the fruity hoppy tones that comes out of it. Quite nice, a pretty awesome Fall seasonal. Solid dry bitter aftertaste. Way more in the Pale Ale category than Golden Ale.

Bottle from the Coop in Davis, CA. Pours orange tinged gold with a three-finger bubbly head that does some ring lacing. Aroma is citrus/floral over very light caramel. Medium body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is floral, but with time some malt creeps in. Itโ€™s quite hoppy and decently bitter. Flavorful. Tasty. Hoppy.
