5/9/2023. Quart bottle from El Salvador, sent from Washington courtesy of Reuben, shared with Mrs B watching the sun set over the English countryside. El Salvador rating #5. Pours clear golden with a large frothy white head. Aroma is malty, grainy, citrus, straw, touch of caramel. Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness with a slight tart edge. Moderate body, average carbonation. Enjoyable evening. Beer was okay too.

(Thanks, Jim! Ozzy70) Bottle. A- Grains, corn. A- Gold color, clear liquid, white head. T- Grains, corn, slightly sweet. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, crisp finish. O- Always love a new country rate. This was actually better than I suspected it might be. Not astringent at all. A bit more than I cared to drink so I drank half and used the rest for beer cheese soup which worked out lovely!

With another visit to Gloria’s in Fort Worth, my favorite Salvadoran restaurant, I had a quart bottle of Regia. It pours a pale yellow with no head at all. The taste is grain, corn, water and just a bit of sweetness. That improves with a squeeze of lime and the arrival of the carne asada. Muy bueno, mi amigo. Very decent for an everyday style, better than I recall.

32 oz. big boy bottle shared by tfontana. Clear golden piss color. Aroma shows slight skunk, mild grain, corn husks. Flavor is almost identical to the Guatemalan beer we just drank. a tad more malt. Thanks Tom!

Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from Total Wine & More, Burlington. Appearance is pale crystal clear yellow with trace sparkle, finger-width foamy white head with poor retention and light lacing. Aroma is malt and mild fruit/floral. Taste is rice, mild fruit. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with thin, frothy texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, refreshing but not much there there.

32 oz bottle, bought at a Deli close to my daughters house in Laguna Hills, California. Drank on 20th March 2019, shared between four of us while playing cards. Clear and clean golden body, fast fading white crowns on all four glasses. Grainy nose and taste, corn like and fairly sweet. Could have been Mexican, a Bud product or something from Millers (well maybe not Millers, it was better than that!).
