Named for the Greek goddess of retribution, Pax Nemesis was brewed in 2009 and was available in 22 oz bottles that like any big beer, age well. Look for vintage bottles at a beer retailer near you, but remember, BEHAVE. She may be watching.

Bomber from Beachbum25. Pours translucent dark copper with a transient slight beige head. Interesting strong malt aroma. Imperial Alt is a possibility. Med body or slightly better - but it thins rapidly. Seems quite toffee - but with enough hop to stand that off. Heat is barely perceptible. Finish is pretty dry, almost dusty. Except malt keeps coming back. With time there’s suggestions of darkish fruit - more fig than raisin. Imperial Alt works for me. I’ve had several, and this one certainly isn’t at the bottom of the group. One for sipping with a good book.

on tap-pours an offwhite ring with amber color. Aroma is perfumy/spice, 2nd light/medium malt with a hint of cocoa. Taste is alcohol, perfumy/spice hops, 2nd medium malt-toffee.

growler pour thanks to Tony, pours hazy caramel/orange with a thin off white head. Aroma is a mix of booze and caramel and toffee malts. Flavor is very sweet, someone said tootsie rolls, and they were spot on. Sweet candy some nuttyness, ending boozy.

Slightly hazy ruby-tinted copper and amber coloured body with almost no head at all. Aroma of light malt, yeast, honey, curacao, alcohol and pit fruits - strong, but not too strong. Full-bodied; Deep bitter hop flavour at first then fades immediately to an alcohol kick with malt and pit fruits racing behind. Aftertaste is super bitter and alcoholic - only the warmth of alcohol really comes through. Overall, a pretty bad and offensive beer on almost every level. The alcohol and strength really comes through - only some minor fruit and sweetness saves this, but it doesn’t really do much to limit the burn. Not recommended - there are far better beers from this brewery, and at these prices, this is not a welcome choice. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Ye Old Spirit Shop in Frederick, Maryland on 29-July-2010, sampled at home in Washington on 03-October-2010.

Bottle. Pours clear reddish brown. Nose of candied apple, citrus and malt. Taste of sweet malt, brown sugar and molasses.

beer of summer @ OTH. copper, off-white head. aroma, malty, caramel, fruity with sugary nose; dates and caramelized apple. flavors, sweet fruity, caramel malts, definite warming abv, brown sugar, sadly this one is just a little too high on abv that at times overtakes most of the other aspects of this beer. Finish on caramel notes, some sweetness and lingering fruits.

22oz bottle pours a transparent copper amber with a little white head. Smells sweet, malty, bready, yeast, alcohol, ripe fruits. Flavor is very sweet, caramel, hardly any bitterness, a little butterscotch. Full bodied, sweet finish. WAY too sweet and totally one note.
