Not sure as to the integrity of this bottle; some prominent Kolsch characteristics, but also a ton of fruity lager esters, green apple and unripe strawberry mixing with the usual light malts and floral hop bitterness. More yeasty and green than bright and grassy. Finishes with a long streak of berries and peaches. close to Grisette-levels of tartness. Pretty, but pretty bad as well. Next time I’ll find a bottle where the dates aren’t mysteriously stripped away.

Bottle at this hip new Indian joint in east village. I feel kolsch is nice with curry and there was plenty of curry in the tasting menu I ordered. Fine golden beer with puffy white head. Nose is lightly floral and small hops. Tastes of floral, bread crust, straw, touch of lemon. Easy drinking and refreshing.

Keg at the brewery taproom. Pours clear yellow-gold with a creamy, white head. Crispy straw and pale cereal in the aroma. Light sweet flavour with simple white bread, more cereal, light bitter hay. Light bodied with average carbonation. Clean finish, with cereal and biscuits, faint lemon, straw. Solid.

Bottle. Aroma is basement aroma with mild resinous hops. Appearance is clear gold with 1 finger-width white foamy head, mild sparkle and no lacing. Taste is medium bitter over mild fruity ester sweetness. Palate is light bodied with thin texture, fair carbonation and bitter finish. Overall, not my cup of tea.
