Draft @ Delirium.

On tap at Le Saint-Bock, pours black with a medium foamy beige head. Aroma is intensely chocolatey, with lots of chocolate cake and fairly sweet. Flavour is very smooth upfront and nicely sweet, with baker's chocolate cake, sweet cocoa powder and a lactic quality, kind of finishes a bit harsher, but doesn't take away from the mouthfeel too much. Medium-bodied, nice and chocolatey. Very satisfying and easy to drink. Solid.

has an okay dark brown body and minimal head. almost no aroma. flavour is sweet barley with fruity notes - plum, prune it seems. just all right, and made a lot worse by the super rude waitress at the brewpub!

Tap at Churchkey. Black, big brown head. Aroma and taste is identical: s’mores!!! I was afraid of this beer at first, but it turned out to be OK.

A deep dark stout with a thin moka head, served with a marshmallow in the glass. Pleasant mix of chocolate and vanilla in aroma. In mouth, a good chocolate, coffee, a bit of licorice. Good balance of these elements. Medium bodied. On tap at Bières et Saveurs, August 29, 2008 (Chambly, QC).
