Pour is a murky brownish with a small white head. Aroma is some apple cider and vinegar. Flavor kinda redeems itself. A nice toffee showing itself first then comes a nice raision and dark fruit. Finish has some fruit and brown sugar. Maybe if they filtered this just a little it would look more like something you would want to drink than crap water.

750 ml corked and caged bottle into Trappist glass. May be out of date. Pours a hazy gold with a small collapsing head and little lace. Aroma is apples--it actually smells like apple juice. Tastes kind of like it too--apple juice mixed with beer. It’s sweet with little bitterness. Has a grainy flavor. Very dry, medium carbonation and body. Not very good; hopefully not because it’s past its prime.

Golden orange color with a large white head that settles quickly. Aroma of nuts and light spice. Slightly thin body, but decent malt and nutty flavor.

Pours gold into a snifter. Bright white micro head with good retention leaves sheet lacing as it recedes to skim surface. Lemon, biscuit and candi aromas. Thick biscuit and alcohol from front to back with a lasting yeasty lemon pepper finish.

Hazy golden, with a very thick head. Very spicy yeast aroma wiht accents of banana, pineapple and coriander. Very sweet, quity spicy but farly well balanced. This is growing on me as I work through it.

Baby food apricot aroma with grain in the background. Amber pour with a thick white head. Mildly phenolic, sweet rotten apples. Alcohol is noticeable. Peppery and bitter finish.

750 ml brown bottle at wine frig temperature. Rich aroma of light raisin, like golden sultana. Peach juice color with a fine, fluffy white head. Near medium body with creamy carbonation. The flavor is an odd combination of fruits and spice. Started with a touch of grapefruit, but that passed on to something like mild spiced peach. Light caramel malt. The finish is a bit bland and dry compared to the start, and has some bitter. Each sip is a spurt of Belgian flavor, and then it goes bland. So keep on sipping. It’s a really good drink.

Bottle from Santa - this tastes much like the diabolique I had last night - light and refreshing, with a medium honey sweetness, coupled with notes of wildflower, light spices, lemon zest, and a slight peppery quality - much like the diabolique, it’s nice, but lacks depth.

Thanks to Degarth for this one1 This opens with a big frothy head over a medium yellow body. Aroma consists of apples, fruit and some spice. The thin, watery palate brought little of what was promised in the aroma. Very restrained level of flavor really disappointed. Light and refreshing, nothing here to offend, just not a very robust flavor for a Belgian Ale.
