Nice full amber red color. Big fluffy head that takes awhile to dissapate. Other than appearnace, nothing stands out about this beer.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Pours a very beautiful dark amber with a delicate, creamy, beige head. Sweet accents of caramel in the aroma. Medium body with plenty of sweet caramel malt - almost slightly perfumy. Quite lovely really. No bitterness. 270306

Pour is a nice orange with a nice white head. Aroma is malty with notes of grass. Flavor is a nice deep malt with lots of roasted nut. Very pleasing everyday brew. Extra points for being available almost every where and always easy on the wallet.

I have been aware of this brewery since I was a child due to some of their paraphernalia in my father’s bar. This was the first chance that I had to actually try the beer - so I had been curious for quite some time. +++Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle the beer poured a nice red-amber color with a small tan head. The aroma while faint was pleasantly malty. The flavor was crisp and light with definite malty undertones. There was a bit of an off sour tang on the aftertaste. It was a little yeasty and bready. Not bad really. A decent quaffable red.

This beer has a decent amber color, but an average smell. The tatse leaves me wanting more: much more. It's very ordinary and plain. I wouldn't care to buy this beer again, not because it's awful, but because there's nothing special about it at all.

Hey, this wasn't so bad! Cereal aroma and flavor rules the day. Some sweetness and malt tang evident in the flavor. Red body with an off-white head. Little praise, little criticism.

Light red color. Mild hops aroma. Flavor is smooth and one dimensional. Bitter finish. Very easy to drink; a good session beer.

Pours a nice golden red, with a good amount of wheat colored head. Smells faintly of dry crisp hops. Starts off slightly hoppy and dry. Fairly crisp, but body dosent really deliver much more after the initial flavor. A mix between grain and with a trace of oats touching through. Not much heavy malt at all. Flavor dissipates and beer ends in a mix of bitter malt and some muddled hops flavor. Smooth and not challenging

This actually doesn't suck…
Okay, same old minimal megabrew head that disappears quickly, but there is a pleasant smell here. A decent slightly roasty taste and malty sweetness without the usual corny taste. I was not thrilled, but at least pleasantly surprised, and will have to give it above average marks for that. As I work my way through the "Leine's Lodge Tackle Box," I'm a little more hopeful than I was with their Berry Weiss.
Tried the draft version, July 3. Nothing that makes me want to change my vote up or down. Would have a bit more malty profile if it weren't poured into danged frozen glass. An improvement over what a "Miller Dark" would be.
