Original beer. Body of brown malt and what seams like Vlaams oud Rood/Bruin. Has a nice sour twist of wild yeast. Very good.

Bottle during the Semi-Final Tasting at my place, London. Massive thanks to Erickok for providing this gem! Pours dark brown with red highlights and a sturdy, beige cream head. Dark malt nose with dirt and roast. Flavor is big and sweet with light, Belgian chocolate, mild yeast, roasty malts, dark chocolate, very light brett, some dirt and light burnt wood. Medium to full in body with average, creamy carbonation. Sweet on the finish with further chocolate malts, light roast, some earth, mild tang, mild wood and subtle dark fruits. Exceptional complexity and balance in this beer. Really impressively dynamic.

Tap @ Bierproeflokaal In De Wildeman. Deep brown appearance with a dark brown head. Wild yeasty, dark berry, tangy, sappy, earthy aroma. Earthy, chewy herbal, plum, dark berry flavor. Really reminds me of Odell Hiveranno with the strange wild, herbal, berry notes.

Bottle at Leighton’s Euro Semi-Final tasting, thanks to Leighton. It pours very dark brown, with a thick beige head. The nose is roasted malt, coffee, caramel, chocolate and some funk. The taste is wood, leather, some funk, lemon, chocolate, brett, chocolate, caramel, alcohol warmth, wood, dark tangy fruit and spice, with a dry, warming finish. Medium-full body and fine carbonation. Interesting and complex. Good Stuff.

Dark brown colour, small but firm off-white head. Lightly tart aroma, liquorice (drop), coffee, roasted malts and dried fruits. Flavour quite sweet, malty, with just a hint of sourness and brett. Light carbonation. Finish coffee and chocolate. Nice and enjoyable.

Draught @ In de Wildeman, Amsterdam. Pitch black, opaque colored beer with a small off-white head that leaves virtually no lacing and is fully diminishing. Smell malts, sweetness, ash, dust and earth. Taste lightly sweet, lightly acidic. Finish is lightly sour with a slight bitterness. Soft, almost flat carbonation and a low body.
