The full, rich character of this stout comes from the roasted malt and fresh roasted coffee beans. It is a lightly sweet and creamy beer with an elegant finish.

Een smaakvolle stout met hints van chocolade, waar het geroosterde mout en vers gebrande koffiebonen de intense smaak bepalen.

Bottled. A black beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, caramel, a bit of brettanomyces. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, chocolate, yeast, and spices, leading to a bitter roasted finish.

33cl bottle @ home. Pitch black color, full sized very light brown head that leaves fair to good lacing. Smell malts, a lot of roasted malts and some smoke, some coffee, some ash. Taste malts, roasted malts, light to moderately smoke, lightly ash, lightly coffee, some bitter. A bit thin bodied imo, medium carbonation.

Bottle from Bierkoning. Near black and opaque with an off-white head. Plain chocolate, dark fruit aroma with decent roastiness. Flavour of coffee, more chocolate, with a touch of sweetness on the tongue and a dry, toasty finish. Enjoyable.

Leicht rauchiger Beginn. Pfeffrig werdend, die Röstigkeit sinkt. Angenehme Bitterkeit, nun steigt die Röstigkeit wieder (stark). Weich, röstig, nett! 11/9/10/9/6/10

Bottle at Arend’s Nest. Black pour with bubbly off white head. Chocolate and coffee in aroma with a certain yeastiness. Flavor is initially chocolate the a strong coffee kick. A slight sour dryness spoils it overall.

Bottle from Bier Koning. Cloudy brown beer with a residual tan head. Light palate. Mild roasty malt, trace of smoke. A whisper of hop in the semi dry finish. Not my style of stout.

33cl Bottle, bought from the brewer at NHBF. ABV 7.5%. Black colour, dense light beige head. Aroma of hard roasted malts, Belgian chocolate, liquorice, milk. Flavour is medium sweet, cream, hard roasted malts, chocolate, liquorice, bitter roasted finish with some moccha and chocolate sweetness. Medium bodied, oily and creamy mouthfeel. Nice.
