Our wheat beer, or as the Germans would say, “ein Hefeweizen” is a very lightly fruity beer. Spices in the nose but also a soft note of banana and cloves are key characteristics in this style of beer. The type of yeast we use is also essential to our weizen’s particular flavour.

Bottle 100813 bottle. Cloudy yellow to orange colour, off-white frothy head, lively carbonation. Aroma bread, candy, citrus, orange peel, coriander, cardemom, ginger, dough. Taste medium sweet and sour. Medium body, creamy texture, sour finish with hints of sweetness and bitterness, in combination with hints of spices. Seems not that well-balanced to me. Draught 171113 @ Proeflokaal de Prael. Same impressions as bottle but more in balance, good lacing, taste milder en less sour finish, more on the sweetsour side.

Pale blond colour. Mixture of sour and sweet. Rather like sherbert. Doesn’t work for me.

0.33l bottle from the bottle shop. Massive gigantic on the head the second it hits the glass. Fluffy white, and the body is light hazy yellow-golden. on the aroma I get fresh coriander, wheat, lemon, some sweetness and a whiff of dried clementine zest. Not horrible at all. In taste it's also mildly sweet. Banana sweet almost, with apples and red fruits. Oily texture with a average carbonation level. Ends leaving a mild dry tongue and hints of alcohol in the throat. Not a bad wit. 27.09.2012

Bottle at "15" Amsterdam. Poured a cloudy dark straw colour with a nice white medium frothy head. The flavour is yeasty with citrus notes. It's a nice zesty standard witbier. It's quite refreshing and all in a good cause.

Draught at their own Proeflokaal
Cloudy deep blond color; generous creamy head. The aroma is nice, spicy. Highly carbonated, smooth, with strong wheat and spicy flavor, but too bitter, disturbing in the end.
Rough.

Tap @ De Prael. Hazy light yellow appearance with a big white head. Black olive, light yeasty, citrusy nose. Weird aroma. Dull yeasty, a bit spicy, wheat flavor. Strange.

330ml bottle [Thanx Tanja & Verena]. Cloudy golden colour with small to average unstable frothy moderately lacing white head. Decent citrussy wheat aroma. Smooth, soft slightly wheaty taste with a citrus touch. Nothing wrong, but without an extra kick.

Cloudy gold beer. Frothy white head. Sweet malt nose. Light dry palate, soft too. Minerally saison/tripel like malt. A little citrus. Finishes dry. Just a bit too dry and malty for me.
