Keg at Siren Festival of Wood, 7th March. 3pm and I’ve already had 3 Imperial stouts and a barley wine. This fits the the pattern if the day well. Real chocolate orange, like a liquid Grand Marnier chocolate liquor. Some barrel, lots of booze. Really lovely

On tap at Siren, Brewery 2nd Anniversary Event, Finchampstead, Saturday 7th March 2015 A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6 Black with a tan head, lots of chocolate and orange, but quite a robust bitterness, roasty. Really does taste like Grand Marnier. Good start. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

Keg at the Siren Maiden event. Pours oily black with with a creamy beige head. Rich dark chocolate on the nose, laced with orange, hints of roast. Big sweet flavor with luscious, creamy cocoa, orange milk chocolate, some coconut, mild bitterness. Full bodied, lightly chewy, with fine to average carbonation. Lightly warming on the finish with sticky dark sugars, some dried dark fruits, more orange chocolate. Simply stunning.

Keg at Siren. It pours jet black with a decent tan head. The nose is rich roast, espresso coffee, chocolate cake, Terry’s chocolate orange and chocolate ice cream. The taste is bitter, rich roast, earth, warming alcohol, toasty, coffee, chocolate orange, vanilla, Grand Marnier, earth, charred wood, tar and ash with a dry, warming finish. Full body and moderate carbonation. Nose is straight up Terry’s chocolate orange. Rich. Quite warming, but I like it.
