750ml bottle [courtesy of bartlebier - cheers Frank!]. Opalescent, amber colour with small, frothy, widely fading, minimally lacing, off-white head. Woody, oaky, and tart-ish fruity, minimally tangy aroma, vinous notes of blue grapes. Taste is sweet-ish, caramel malty, dry oaky and tart-ish, vinous fruity, notes of blue grapes, a touch of grape sugar, minimally peppery spicy, yeasty overtones; dry, oaky finish with additional hints of grape peel. Watery texture, smooth and soft palate, soft to flat carbonation.

Many thanks to Erzengel for sharing! A clear deep golden beer with a small white ring. Aroma of tart fruits, brett nose, wood. Taste of sweet oak wood, chips, bourbon, brett, mild tart fruits, nice!

Smooth fresh beginning .Funk with oak, but a bit more mellow and "warmer" than the French Oak. Smooth, great funky. Due to the more intense wood aroma here, the funkiness seems to be a bit higher. Refreshing and very dry, the beer is smooth and very easy to drink, seems to be a bit more "round" than the part matured over French Oak. Nice and full-woody aftertaste.

Pours clear light amber, good white head. Smell is the weakest of all 3. Ok, bit funky, rather dry. Taste is sharp, has some bourbon-like notes ( even though I thought this was fresh oak ? ) , it’s the typical sweetness, woody vanilla. OK. Expected more, even after the other 2 let-downs.

Bottle shared at home, thanks to kermis for the bottle. Clear dark golden with small off white head. Caramel, quite some tannins, red wine, caramel, quite spicy, light funk and quite some tropical fruit Brett notes. Light sweet and bitter. Under medium bodied with dry feel. Decent.

Clear warm golden colour, white head. Aroma of light citrus, zest, wood. Light sweet flavour, toast, caramel, red fruits. Light astringent. Fruity finish, wood. Interesting experiment, although the differences between the bottles are quite subtle.

Milder, hefig zitronig säuerlicher Beginn. Die Säure ebbt dabei schnell ab, fruchtig, etwas erhöhte Karbonisierung. Hefig, Aprikose, spritzig, hell holzig. Das holzige Aroma verstärkt sich zum Ende deutlich, mild herb. Gut! 10/12/12/11/12/11

Bottle from Delhaize Brugge consumed this at home Sunday 22nd February 2015 Pours golden dark gold edging towards amber with a white sticky head atop. Aroma is bretty with a fruitiness also, the fruit is mostly citrus, lemony I guess. In the mouth this follows a simily trajectory i.e. bretty but then fruity with a woody edge, the woodiness not as prominent as I had expected. Certainly a little funky and with some vanilla, it’s fine. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov13 3.2
