The Enfant Terriple is put for 6 months on cherries: 250 g sour, un-pitted cherries per litre beer. During this time, the bacteria are given time to digest all sugars even further and to let the soft natural souring have its way. Meanwhile, the cherries slowly donate their blood-red colour and their succulent taste. Part of this cherry also is transferred to the oak wine barrels where it – in a grow-bed of lactobacillus – during a year adds further to a woody souring and softening. The result is a triple-kriek ‘pur sang’. With this, a new saint is added to the Cuvée family of Brewery De Leite. The Cuvée Soeur’Ise, is a wink to cherry in French (= ‘cerise’). The divine saint has already seduced many, all over the world!

Bottle, courtesy of SinH4. Lots and lots of cherries indeed, but really unlike a lambic. Still sour, but far more tame and soft. Some tartness, no funk. Can’t find the oak aging though. Still a well drinkable beer with a good balance. Nice.

0.33 l bottle from ’De Bierkoning’, best before February 2019. Minimally hazy, luscious, pinkish red with a medium large, fluffy, stable, pinkish white head. Sourish-fruity, slightly funky aroma of cherries, raspbberries, red wine, oak and almond. Medium sour, fruity and slightly funky taste of cherries, raspberries, red wine, lots of oak and some almond, followed by a medium long, over medium tart, oaky and slightly vinous finish. Medium body, astringent and effervescent mouthfeel, lively carbonation. Very refreshing, good body and quite drinkable despite is acidity. Good!

Bottle. Neon purple-red, low off white head. Cherry yoghurt aroma. Medium light body, but plenty chewy bits. Sweet fruity entry, light dry notes, a hint nutty, müsli, some esters, banana, skyr with fruit - perfect for breakfast. Satisfying.

Bottle. Deep purple-red color with pink head. Aroma is lacto, cherries, yoghurt, vanilla (wood?), no funk. Taste is sour cherries, fruit esters, cherry stone, full-bodied, slightly boozy. High carbonation. Really what the name suggests: A Triple Kriek. Like a Topfencreme. Let?s age another bottle of this. Really one of the best non-Lambic cherry beers.
