# 2405; 1/2021. Apples in aroma. Unclear, litght gold body; white head. Tobacco, apples, corn, vegetables. Horrible beer, full of faults. 0,5 l, bottle, gift.

I must've drunk 1000's of litres of this beer in the last decade but somehow never rated it! In the 'poor struggling indie band' universe that I sometimes inhabit, this is the beer of choice. It's SOOOO cheap!
On with the review.....
500ml can into tumbler. Pours a crystal clear amber with high fine carbonation and a decent head of foam on top. Smells of caramel doughnuts and tinny hops. Medium body, smooth texture. Finish is brutal, lingering harsh tinniness and just a hint of cooked vegetables. Average Euro-lager, but looks cooler on your bass amp than anything else in this price range.

Aroma malt, eple. Utseende klar gylden med hvitt skum som daler sakte. Smak eple, malt, humle, karamell. Medium fylde, fin maltsødme og lett bitter. En pils rett og slett. Smakt Nov -17

Our cheap German beer with the bad reputation. 0,5 l bottle. Clear dark golden with a more than two finger white frothy head. Nothing wrong with this. Musty grainy smell with low citrus in the background. Taste is grainy, straw with metallic dry bitterness. Not really bad but also not pleasant. Yes, it´s drinkable but I didn´t enjoy it.

330ml can from Lidl. Pale gold with minor head, some ringed retention. A sweet earthy/fruity aroma which I cant quite pin point. Taste is sweet pale malts with a few biscuit crumbs, a little grassy but clean in taste. Light to moderate body works well enough here. A bit of a bland Pils even by supermarket standards. Lidl's own contract brewed Perlenbacher is a little better in my book. Nice enough though.

As Oettinger Lager. Clear pale golden, good frothy white head, mostly diminishing, light lacing. Aroma pilsner malt, grain, vegetables. Taste medium sweet and light bitter, malty, grainy, metallic notes. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, dry sweetbitter aftertaste, light orange pith but mostly cardboard, simple, quaffable, meh.

Flesje thuis gedronken. Goudgeel helder bier met matig schuim dat snel tot een film wegzakt. Aroma is moutig. De smaak is moutig en de nasmaak is iets bitter.
