Grand Cru is a speciality beer carefully crafted. This extra-blond amber nectar masterpiece undergoes refermentation in the bottle, resulting in a beer endowed with unforgettable character. The secret lies in the unique combination of the most noble hops and the finest aromatic ingredients. Grand Cru differs from other beers in the range by its absence of spices. Its full, white head is light and frothy, and when poured it creates a subtle lace effect. The very pale colour of Grand Cru lends clarity and brilliance to its body. Grand Cru’s delicate nose is a veritable cascade of hoppy aromas with hints of fruitiness coupled with subtlety and sheer richness. When savoured, the first sip is light and intriguing. The next impression is one of a slight bitterness full of captivating nuances. When it hits the palate, Grand Cru creates a lingering moment of hoppiness, rounded off by an intense yet pleasant bitterness.

Poured from 330mL bottle (bb 20/08/24). Clear blonde with full white head. Chewy belgian yeast, some light pepper, very feint metallic quality in the background (mostly covered by the huge bready chew of the yeast), hops are pretty hidden at this point (just feint bit on the finish). Decent.

Flesje gedronken bij Harrie. Licht geel bier met een volle schuimkraag die als een film blijft liggen. Aroma is hoppig en kruidig. Smaak is hoppig en zoet. Jammer dat de smaak snel wegtrekt.

(Bottle) Pours slightly hazy golden with big white head. Nice aroma with a mix of pear drop esters, peppery spice and hints of caramel. Medium bodied with plenty of bright carbonation. Nice taste too. Starts with some honey and caramel sweetness and a peppery bitterness swiftly develops. There’s some alcohol and pear drops apparently too. Very enjoyable.

Bottle pour at the The Belgian Brewers' Bash in Washington DC. Poured a hazy yellow color with a huge white head. Aroma was candi, some light herbal notes, light funky, lemon citrus. Flavor was similar, light citrus, some mild funk. Tasty stuff.

Bottle. Wine Rack Sheffield. Hazed yellow gold. Thick sturdy glossy topped white foam. Sweet Crunchie bar malts and firm spicy herbal hoppage. Super smooth and fairly rich and oily. Touch of fruity booze. Bitter herbal finish. I remember the first time I ever had a Duvel and this is reminiscent of that. Beautiful.

Bottle drunk after ordering a huge pile of air ducting material. Almost clear gold, big delicate fine head, nose almost like champagne: earthy-hop dry, but with grain and caramel notes. Very high fine bubbly carbonation, touch of caramel sweetness, medium body with long-lasting pleasant earthy + citrusy bitterness. 5 for mouthfeel for that fine-champagne carbonation!
