6 April 2019. At De Kelk, Bruges. Shared with the lovely Anke! Pours hazy black with a huge, lasting, foamy, beige head; lots of lacing. Strong aroma of mocha, custard, biscuit, milk chocolate, salted peanut, hazelnut, brownie dough, fig, cream. Taste is medium malty sweet, lots of chocolate, pure 'coffee cream', vanilla custard, lactose at work here, sweetish mocha initiates a light roasted bitteness with restrained fondant, coffee, roasted nuts, all the while dark & dried fruits provide a constant subtle sourness in the back. Dryish, slightly herbal hoppy finish, quite malty, lingering cream & (dark) chocolate. Medium body, slick-creamy texture, fizzy carbonation. A Milk Stout as it should be, very flavourful at that ABV, and a surprise that this came from Portugal - which is definitely not meant as an insult!

Nitro - Roast and dark malts. Jet black with a decent beige head. Sweet woody notes.

330ml bottle from the local Pingo Doce, Lapa, Lisbon. Pours deep dark brown, creamy pale tan topping. Aroma possesses good milky cocoa. Taste presents a good gentle chocolate milk character, fairly simplistic but enough grainy flavour going on.

Bottle, courtesy of Manu. Pours darkest brown. Aroma is lactic roasted malts, toffee, coffee, even some booze. Body is medium, but clearly not too sweet or heavy. Lactic sweetness, smooth. Some plastic. Good.

Black beer, medium head, Aroma is malt, roasted. Taste is the same, chocolate. a bit on the weak side.

Tap, sampled. Tasted on the 24/11/2017 at the source in Lisboa. Black colour with a medium beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, milk and some cocoa. Taste is slightly caramel and toffee with a roasty and chocolate presence. Next one please!
