BXLBeerfest. Pours black with beige-light brown head. ARoma is roast, fruits, some cocoa, bit dirty. Flavor is sweet and bitter, roast, cocoa, malt, also bit dirty. Overall: ok.

330ml bottle. Jet black colour with average to huge, sudsy, moderately to mostly lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Roasty, chocolately, dark malty aroma, hints of dark caramel, treacle, liquorice, cocoa, fruity overtones with blueberry touch. Taste is roasty, chocolately, dark malty, hints of treacle, molasses, dark caramel, a touch of liquorice; slightly overcarbonated.

From tap. Pours pitch black to brown, small brown head. Aroma is roasted malty, breadish and dark malty. Bitter, roasted, dark malty. Light liqourice and roasted dark malty finish.

7 3 7 3 14 Bottle at Uiltje Bar, Haarlem. Black with a beige head. Aroma of lactose, chocolate, toffee, caramel and light roast. Flavour is heavy sweet. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Black with dark fizzy head. Aroma is a bit lactic and toasty. Flavour has some milky coffee, chocolate, liquorice and tobacco. Very intense. A bit too gassy.

Pitch black, tall frothy beige head, dissipates slowly, heavy lacing. Aroma roasted malts, cocoa powder, liquorice, light smoke. Light fizzy mouthfeel, taste medium sweet and light bitter, malty, milk chocolate, black currant notes, light coffee, liquorice. Fruity bittersweet aftertaste, liquorice and cola notes, spicy touch. Light to medium body, watery texture, soft carbonation; very complex, nice and interesting.

Keg at Beer Station. If pours darkest brown with a medium light tan head. The aroma is earthy roast, cacao, coffee grounds, some milky sweetness and liquorice. The taste is bitter - sweet, milk chocolate, earth, toasty, coffee grounds, liquorice, dark fruits, plum and a touch of ash with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Not bad.
