Tart, Refreshing Wheat Ale
Our Blood Orange Gose is an expression of how great a kettle soured beer can be. A careful hand during the souring process and liberal additions of blood oranges during fermentation impart tangy citrus notes that complement the bright gose flavors, creating a complex and sessionable ale perfect for any occasion.

0.355 l can, canned in january 2016, shared by markoijelena, thanks! Clear, golden amber with a thin, white head. Sourish-fruity aroma of blood orange, rhubarb and hints of salt. Rather sour, fruity taste of blood orange, rhubarb and some grapefruit, followed by a short, very tart, a little salty and dry finish. Thin to medium body, spritzy and astringent mouthfeel, very soft carbonation. Nice!

Hi Hello, Brooklyn tap: pours orange with little head. Aroma is lightly orange, spicy, with lactic acid. Taste is mostly lactic with the salt at the end. The orange is not super powerful, which is a plus for me. Not a bad beer. Good nooner.

Pours a slightly cloudy pale orange. The beer is tart and mildly citrusy. The sourness is quite mild, which can be great if that's what you're into. All around good beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft. Clear yellow, no head. Aroma is weak orange juice, traces of Sour wheat.
The overall flavor and body was thinner then expected. The Blood orange comes off as a puree that thinned out the body. I didnβt get any salt in the finish like the style normally has. Drinkable, no major flaws but I was left feeling like it wasnβt a true Gose.

Straight from a can. Nice pale colour, as much I can see at least. Aroma is sour, bit of fruits - cherries - but not getting too much citrus here. Taste is astringent, clean and acidic, sea salt in the background. Pretty nice and refreshing actually. Would be good to learn more about gose style as this is definitely one of the styles I am going to see more often in the future. Lacto has done some good work on this one, goes down fast and feels refreshing, something you could drink by pints and still not get drunk.

Pours orange/amber with a quickly fading head.Nose shows blood orange, soft doughy wheat, a sea salt note. Reminiscent of gatorade.Flvaours include a fair whack of salt and blood orange, again creating the impression of a sports drink. Very refreshing.

Tap at Bud. Orange-golden, hazy, low fine head. Fruity nose, orange, salt, wheat. Coriander. Crisp and tart, nice citrus, bit of lactic, well done gose that works well. Crisp and refreshing. Love it.

Can. Looks like Lucozade and smells quite like a sports drink too. Blood orange and some berries. Lightish bodied, a little slippery. Tart and fruity with a little wheaty funk. Quite salty but not much coriander. Pleasant enough.
