Tropic Thunder is a joint effort with nomadic brewer Brian Strumke of Stillwater Artisanal. We brewed this sour ale with lactobacillus and let it ferment with plentiful mango, passion fruit and peach. Sweet!
There's a simple and straight forward story to this not so simple and straight forward beer. The idea was that we wanted to make a beer that tastes like a popsicle. A beer as refreshing as those ice cold, fruity treats we loved as kids. And you know what, we succeeded!

Taster at Hops. Opaque orangeish golden pour with an white head. Nose is intense tropical fruits, and stone fruits, kinda like pez. Feels a bit too intense for real fruits, but it’s not annoyingly artificial. Taste is a bit more held back, some tropical fruits appear first, but quite vaguely, but then in the finish a more intense citrus character appears, giving the beer a nice regreshing vibe. Moderately sour. Closes with a tart, fruity finish, has a light body and soft to average carbonation. Noice.

Аромат приятый, что то между ягод и тропиков, но больше узодит в какой то компотик или морсик. Цвет ягодный тоже, пенки нету. Вкус тоже очень ягодный, умеренно сладкий и кислый одновременно. Питкий при этом и не приторный, не химозный. Нормальный саур.

Can from BiervanEijk, Steenwijk. Aroma is tropical fruits with mango, passion fruit and peach. Medium lacto sourness, light body. Fruit yoghurt, tart and tropical.

Tap at Brewers Beer Bar Tredje. Cloudy golden. Peach, peach-a-lot. Taste is full, fruity juice, peach, canned peach, peach syrup. Honey, vanilla, lactose mouthfeel. If you like peach juice (that is a bit on the canned juice syrup side) you will like this. However, I expected a sour fruit ale, which this is not.

Tåkete gul farge med hvitt skum. Lukter mango, fersken og noe sitron. Syrlig frisk sour. Avslutter med sure bær, sitrusfrukter og noe mango.

Looks like yellow unclear juice. Aroma is peach mango bonbon some very fresh lime. Taste is really sweet and sour with lacto. Easy to drink and very refreshing. Some similarities to artificial sweets though...
