Brashly American pale ale with a crisp and explicit bitterness. The pine and citrus aroma of Cascade and Centennial hops enrich the earthy bitterness of Columbus creating a neo-classic biterness profile. Pale ale malt soothes the tongue into a grapefruity aftertaste.

On tap at Labietis Taproom, Riga on 14th June 2024. Slightly hazy amber with shallow foam and full lacing. Zesty orange peel and mild tropical fruits in aroma. Tangy fruits in-mouth with a few spices, and a finish reflecting both. Light bodied with a zingy mouthfeel.

0,5 from tap at Labietis with Snegurochka. Sparkling golden clear body that could fool you into believing that this a run-of-the-mill lager. Luckily the lack of visual carbonation evidence and the almost complete lack of any head (just a very small white layer on top) assures you that the barmaid has not pulled a fast one on you and poured some kind of generic lager instead of your actual order. The aroma is not very strong but impressions of hoppy bitterness further assures you that this is not a generic lager. However, one could easily have hoped for a stronger and more forceful aroma. What is evident beyond the bitterness of hops are sweet malts and perhaps some notes of fresh meat and sugar. Flavour - as you would expect from Labietis - is quite close to the aroma but more forceful. More citrusy than the smell as well. Slightly surprising strongish carbonation and corresponding prickly mouthfeel which leaves at least this reviewer slightly disappointed. Taste does linger in the mouth and you only feel somewhat short-changed. Expectations are always high when encountering a Labietis beer - especially in their own house - but it is difficult to agree with the many high ratings this beer has received, even if you want to. Slightly disappointing but nevertheless okay.

Re-rated Smell-weak hops, grass, herbal. Foam-thin, hops, weak citrus, and then more hops and bitter tones. Head is medium-sized, white color. Sticks a bit. Appearance- brewer bottle cap, simple label.Clear yellow color, some sediment in. From - pint Taste- hops, grass, bitter notes, tiny bit herbal and then more hops. Quite hoppy and grassy in general, not really for me. Old score 03.09.2018: 6/5/6/3/10=3,0 Bit carbonated, generally little bitter background, half soft, upon opening goes all over the place and even with half bottle empty still slowly rises. Very hoppy for my taste, not a fan of such beer as hops overtake any other taste for me.

Tap @ Labietis brewpub. Light orange-amber pour, bit of foam on top. Nose has a touch of herbs and wow, cucumber marinade! That was a surprise. Taste confirms that cucumbers have really been here and left their marinade flavours hanging aeound. Medium bitterness but really, that marinade thing kind of distracts me from everything else. Not sure if this beer is really in its good form - but as I am drinking it in the source... Not completely bad, though I didn't expect this to be so funky. Probably need to revisit this in the future.
