Bottle. Dark brown color. Soft roast, dried fruit and soft whisky notes in the aroma. Malty caramelly sweet flavor with vanilla and dried fruit. Traces of whisky. Low on carbon. Could be more pronounced.

330ml bottle online from Beerdome, NL. Pours clear dark brown with a tan head. Aroma: sweet malts, figs, caramel, vanilla, subtle whisky barrel. Taste: moderate sweet & bitter, oaky vanilla, dried fruits, caramel, toffee, liquorice. Medium to heavy body, average carb, lingering sweet-ish finish. Great balance, a lovely drop

Bottle shared thanks to Puttetjes. Hazy dark brown with small dark beige head. Strong aroma of figs, sweet malts, alcohol, apple, dry bitter grassy herbs, vanilla, soft whisky, brown sugar, light tar, old dead leaves. Over medium sweet and bitter. Over medium bodied with some alcohol. Decent.

Bottle. Color: Very dark brown, thin beige head. Taste: Roasted malt, notes of coffee, dark chocolate, caramel and hints of nuts. Bit boozy. Smooth, not overwhelming but clearly present notes of the Auchentoshan barrel aging. Moderate sweet with decent bitterness. More notes of nuts at the long lasting finish. I presume that the use of Auchentoshan barrels contributes to the pretty unique nutty BA notes of this beer, compared to most other BA beers I have tasted. Although I do prefer the aroma of, for instance, bourbon BA, I really do like the taste of this one. Very nice BA Quad.
