Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is strong peat with wood, roasted malt, ash, some iodine and a touch of coffee, with more permeating peat throughout. Flavour is medium sweet with a fairly bitter finish. Body is medium to full. Nicely peated and roasty, but there's some sharpness akin to iodine in the aroma. Thankfully the peat is more pronounced.

Bottle at home, from 2017, consumed 26th October 23. Pours a black beer, fairly thin. Aroma is barrel and peaty whisky, chocolate. Taste is pear forward, barrel, wood and liquor, smooth, it’s a nice warmer, not as interesting as some De Molen though

0.33 l bottle from 'Het Biermoment', bottled in December 2017, cellared for two years. Clear, very dark ruby to black with a thin, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently smoky-medicinal, slightly roasty and a little fruity aroma of dark chocolate, peat, iodine, some dark fruits and a touch of coffee. Quite sweet, malty, fairly smoky-medicinal, slightly fruity taste of dark chocolate, loads of peat as well as iodine, coffee, some dark fruits and traces of licorice, followed by a long, quite roasty-bitter, fairly smoky-medicinal and rather earthy finish. Medium to full body, smooth and creamy to oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Fairly intense stuff, a real peat bomb. The malt base is still heavy enough to balance the peated flavours and it's a pleasure overall if you like peated beers since it's really well-crafted.

Nice smoky whisky and roast. Deep jet brown with a spdecent light brown head. Smoke and woody notes, touch of sweetness and a long woody smoke note. Nice.

Bottle. Black. The peaty Bowmore dominates the aroma. Stays subtle however. Full bodied. Malty, caramelly and not too sweet. Some chocolate and coffee, but once again the peaty Bowmore dominates the flavor. Still a great, well balanced beer. Dry finish with some chloride. Low on carbon.

On tap at the Macro Beer Fest Ljubljana 2018. Shared with Višnja 666. Dark brown, small brown head. Heavy bourbon, roasty, wood, burnt, light dark fruit, heavy, boozy. Very dry, lots of wood in the flavour. Medium body, alcohol hidden, very dry lasting finish. Heavy on the barrel, not much else here.

Een glas Lieshoutse vingerverf met alcohol. Nederlandse film op de achtergrond. Dalijk nog een onbelegd breekcrackertje van de Aldi. Lekker!

33cl Bottle from Vonk. Black colour, light-beige head. Aroma of some earthy peat, liqourice root, some roasted malts, chocolate. Flavour is medium sweet to sweet, light malty, roasted malts, liquorice root, peat, earth, bitter finish. Medium bodied. It's nice but it lacks oomph, especially considering this is 12% ABV.
