Very nice stuff. Black pour with good head and lacing. Ginjinha, whatever it is, is light. Roast. Bitter finish. Tap at Porto Beer Fest.

330ml bottle, online from Beer Without Borders, Dumfries. Pours opaque very dark brown towards black with a tan cap. Aroma: mainly roasted malts, perhaps slight hints of sour cherries. Taste: moderate sweet & bitter, more roasted malts, dark chocolate, a little soy, more discernible sour cherry vibes than in the aroma. Bit soapy. Medium to full body with soft carbonation.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 29A: sour cherries - base style: 20C). Bottle 33 cl - Batch L1360 (BBF 07/21). AROMA: medium balanced aroma between roasted malts and cherries with a slight acidic note. APPEARANCE: very dark brown color and opaque. medium-low light brown head, creamy, with ok retention. TASTE: initial medium soft cherries flavor with a perfumy character, followed by medium to medium-high roasted malt with notes of dark chocolate. medium to medium-high bitterness with a dry and roasty finish (a bit on the birnt side). PALATE: medium-full to full body with medium carbonation. smooth alcoholic warmth. OVERALL: a very good balanced imperial stout and cherries (sample brewed at Nortada - Porto).

4th June 2020. Bottle at home picked up in Lisbon in November 2019, back in the good days when I could travel with work. Pours a black, clear and thinish beer. Aroma has cocoa, dark chocolate and cherry. Taste is dark chocolate, sweet cherry, some liquor, it’s well balanced and unusual. Good
