We at Crooked Stave find solace playing in the Colorado mountains and possess a great pride for the place we call home. Paying homage to our great state, we brewed Colorado WildSage, a tart Brett Saison incorporating fresh herbs, including white sage and lemongrass. Brewed with all Colorado ingredients in order to deliver a little bit of the high country to everyone who decides to share in this beer with us. Unfiltered and naturally wild, we package each can with a small amount of yeast to maintain maximum freshness for wherever life's adventures take you.

(thanks for sharing!) Sampled draft @ The Beavertown Extravaganza 2017. Day 2. Orange golden. Nose is acidic, sage, thyme, lime peel, fruity, lovely. Tastes is soap, vinegar, hugely sour with great lemon peel, sage, thyme,… very puckering. Very sour, bit too sour but quite lovely still all the same.

Nice lively sour saison, not too much funk from the Brett, tons of lemon notes.

Bottle opened at cellar temp. Big mistake, big gush.
Hazy straw colour, massive head of foam. Great lacing.
Smells of lemongrass for sure, Brett, flowery, spicy from the sage.
Sage and lemongrass up front, a bit of funk, bitter earthy, not sour or even tart. Spices like you’d throw on a suitable meal you were preparing.
Medium body with zesty carbonation.
Herbal tasting beer that I would partake of infrequently. Not a knock on it.

Tap. Hazy orange, white lace. Fresh fruit peel aroma, apple and orange, sage herbs balance nicely, lovely Brett notes, light fruit jam, nice dry foamines, sparkly finish, lovely, got the Auds stamp of approval too.
