We at Crooked Stave find solace playing in the Colorado mountains and possess a great pride for the place we call home. Paying homage to our great state, we brewed Colorado WildSage, a tart Brett Saison incorporating fresh herbs, including white sage and lemongrass. Brewed with all Colorado ingredients in order to deliver a little bit of the high country to everyone who decides to share in this beer with us. Unfiltered and naturally wild, we package each can with a small amount of yeast to maintain maximum freshness for wherever life's adventures take you.

bottle from boxbeers. slight gusher. cloudy yellow, small white head. citrussy and bretty aroma, like a real good wit, only much better than that. faint spices, well rounded bretty bitterness. flavor is bretty, slightly yellow fruity, herbal and hoppy bitterness. herbs and lemongrass can be tasted, but it adds to a great balance, it does not steal the picture, good saison, good bretty brew as usual from crooked stave.

Yellow, hazy body, with a big, fluffy, lacing, white head.
Aroma of Brett, citrus, flowers, lemongrass, spices, apples, some pears.
Tastes quite similar, with more spices.
Medium, a bit creamy mouthfeel, with a lively carbonation.
Finishes spicy, Bretty, fruity, a bit dry, a bit floral.
Very nice. Lovely Brett and fruit notes throughout. Also with quite a lot of spices, maybe a bit too much for my taste. Still very fresh, well balanced stuff, as always by this brewery.

0,1l from tap at Craft Bier Fest Wien shared by me. yellow hazy colour, medium big white head. smells of pepper, citric, grassy, acidic, flowery, herbal, rosemary. very nice smell. Full body, soft carbonation, sick mouthfeel. tastes herbal, citric, some sage, rosemary, grassy, flowery. finishes lightly dry with notes of sage, citrus and rosemary. I quite like it, great to drink.

(Draught at Beer Temple, Amsterdam, 25 Feb 2017) Hazy golden colour with lasting, white head. Malty, floral nose with notes of citrus, bread, sage and spices. Malty, herbal taste with bread, grass, sage, spices and a sweetish finish with low bitterness. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness. Quite spicy and herbal. Interesting. Quite nice.

375 ml bottle poured into a tulip. July 2015 edition. Clear golden straw yellow with a good two fingers of off-white head. Aromas of big sage, herbs, spice, some funk, light citrus peel. Tastes of sage, herbs, lightly tart acidic notes, light funk and oak. Medium body with a dry finish. Nicely done with the sage.

Off white airy head left a cover on a dark lemon coloured body - lots of sediment around. Very spicy & peppery aroma with lemon - smells like high quality lemonade! Thin bodied, very crisp on the palate. Clean on the back. On the very front itβs momentarily reasonably sweet with slightly tropical flavours, this quickly dissipates into a long tasting sour, tart affair with (strong) bitter lemon, herbs & Iβm definitely picking out the sage.

Bottle from PhillyCraft. Thanks Vin! It pours a clear apple juice color with a white head. The aroma is strong with sage and a little green apple acidity with some toasted malt. The flavor is the same. Hints of peanut shells with nice green apple tartness. Strong sage throughout. It has a low herbal, phenolic finish. Pretty interesting stuff.
