We at Crooked Stave find solace playing in the Colorado mountains and possess a great pride for the place we call home. Paying homage to our great state, we brewed Colorado WildSage, a tart Brett Saison incorporating fresh herbs, including white sage and lemongrass. Brewed with all Colorado ingredients in order to deliver a little bit of the high country to everyone who decides to share in this beer with us. Unfiltered and naturally wild, we package each can with a small amount of yeast to maintain maximum freshness for wherever life's adventures take you.

Tap into a wineglass showing well filtered yellow with half a finger of white foam. The nose shows sage and mint. The palate is well carbonated and light bodied. Flavors of the sage and a hints of lemon tartness. No bitterness.

This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a glossy burnt yellow color with a smooth foamy almost looks like thick cream sitting atop of the beer in a nice mountainous rocky manner. It lasts for a good portion of the beer.
The smell starts off with a big sweet lemon pulpiness shining through some sweet lemongrass and sage. The rush of sweet refreshing clean floral to herbal qualities burst through for a stellar balance.
The flavor leans sweet through the floral/sage/herbal qualities. Sweet floral aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a spectacular sessionability about it. Carbonation runs light to allow sweet herbal qualities to stick on my tongue but not cloying.
Overall, a wonderful saison that I would love to have again.

Draft at brett fest. Aroma of nettle and brett mostly. Taste of weird herbs, nettle, malt and some pine. Not very good.

Definitely sage is in the building. Hazy golden pour with ok head and lacing. Lots of oak, too much for me. Some bretta and wine. Light tangy finish. Some peel. Tap at Canteen.

Draught at Ølsnedkeren Århus. Citric, sweet, and spicy aroma. Cloudy golden color. Good creamy stable white head. The flavour starts off quite acidic, then comes a district sage note. Teaish note as well. Citric finish.

On tap at the Source. Cloudy light gold with s huge nose of fresh sage. Light bodied and dry the flavor is sage and wild herbs with white. Very dry and easy to drink though the sage is a bit too full on for my taste.

Bottle. Pours clear yellow, with a big creamy head. Aroma is wooden yeast and bretty notes, as well as white berries, grapes and some grassy notes. Medium body, with average to fizzy carbonation. Flavour is tart with white berries, citrus peel, musty fruits, and bretty notes of stone fruits and wood, as well as some floral and grassy notes. Tart fruity finish.

Bottle. Huge sage nose. Also lemon, honey, biscuits, and something that reminds me of burnt tomato sauce. Clear, oily golden color. Flavor is a bit less dominated by sage, lemony, funky. Soft, oily palate that works. I don’t really care for the sage, but the beer is nice.

375ml bottle. Cloudy, yellow-ish golden colour with average, thick, frothy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, white head. Herbal-spicy aroma, notes of sage, mild bretty funkiness, a minimally soapy bath salt touch. Taste is initially dry, moderately sour, tangy, citric sourness, hints of brine and gherkin; a herbal braking effect keeps the sourness slightly at bay; some residual sweetness comes in and takes away some more of the sourness; nevertheless both, the spici- and sourness are strong enough to leave some effect in gullet and stomach. Slightly monotonous overall.
