Tap at CBC 2015. Pours near black with a big beige head. Aroma of cherries, dark chocolate, and caramel, really exactly what it say - Black Forest gateaux in a glass. Flavour is over moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Pours pitch black with a smooth head. Aroma of roasty malts, berries, toffee, syrup, oak, hints of wood and spices. Taste is roasty, heavy with berries, wood, oak and toffee. Finish is roasty, heavy with berries and syrup. Quite a berry overdose.

Aroma has deep roasted tones, licorice and coffee. Also hayish tones. Flavour has sweet fruity notes, some licorice and raspberry juice. Finishes very woody and leathery. Weird, a berry juice IS.
