Draught @ CBC 2015 [ Red Session ]. - Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2015, Sparta Hallen, Gunnar Nu Hansens Plads 11, 2100 Copenhagen, Denmark [ As Alpha State Black Forest Gâteau ].Dark black brown color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light brown head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt, chocolate, dark fruit - red wine. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, tart, roasted, wine - red wine, wood, dark bitter chocolate. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20150502]

CBC Red Session. Keg. Opaque black - brown beer, decent tan head. Palate is light and semi dry. Chocolate cake and chocolate fudge. Light fruits. Light finish. Almost nails the concept, cherry could be clearer. Nice though.

[5/2/15] Draught sample at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2015. 3rd session. Black with a tan head. Aroma of roast, some chocolate, dark fruits and licorice. Bittersweet flavor, slightly acidic, with roast, dark fruits and chocolate.

From tap. Pours hazy dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is toasted malty, breadish and caramelish. Fruity, roasted malty. Bitter. Toasted. Lingering fruity and dark malty finish.
