Bottle. Malty aroma and taste, mullberry, cherry, belgian yeast, wooden notes, light to medium sweet, light bitter. Full body, mullberry bitter sweet finish with warming alcohol notes. Good.

Bottle, 13.5%. Clear dark red colour. Small light pink head. The flavour is perfumy, woody. Has a quite distinct alcohol bitterness. More perfume in the finish. Fruity finish, but somehow dry or at least bitter from the alcohol.

0.33 l bottle from '100 pív', best before June 2018. Hazy, dark red with a thin, fluffy, slowly diminishing, off-white head. Sweetish, quite fruity, a little sourish aroma of red grapes, redcurrant and some bitter almond. Moderately sweet, minimally bitter, a little sourish, quite fruity taste of red grapes, redcurrant, bitter almond, some leather and a touch of oak, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, slightly tart and a bit boozy finish. Medium body, slightly creamy and moderately effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Interesting stuff, not fully convincing though as it lacks the complexity you would expect from a beer with such a high abv.

Flasa z Laniusu. Vona vyrazne kyslasta. Visnova farba, pena sa chvilku drzi. Chut silna, tazsia, ovocna a drevita. Na konci ostava.

Bottled 330ml. -from Pivny Raj Bratislava. On Lanius web page alcohol is 9.8% but on the label is stated 13.5%. Red wine coloured, medium sized off-white head, some berries in the nose. Sweetish malty, yeasty, slightly metalic, sharp alcohol and notes of berries (mulberry probably) with some herbal bitterness in the finish. I thing 13.5 is more closer than 9.8.
