Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is grainy malt, straw, cereal, lacks a good noble hop profile. Flavour is a bit sweetish with a mild bitterness. Body is medium. Drinkable if a bit soulless Helles.

Bottle, 5.2%. Metallic, Bready and citric aroma. Smells better than it sounds, though. Clear dark golden colour, sparkling. Big stable rocky white head. The flavour is bready but dominated by a distinct and uncompromising bitterness. A bit rough around the edges, but ok on a hot day.

500ml bottle. Opalescent, orange golden colour with average to huge, firm, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Grainy, strawy and slightly bready, malty aroma, hints of barley, grey bread, minimally waxy, hoppy overtones. Taste is grainy, strawy, pale malty, slightly bitter, minimally grassy hoppy, a light doughy yeasty touch, a lemon dash. Watery texture, soft palate, fine, mildly prickly carbonation. Simple, monotonous, fairly drinkable - acceptable.

Sampled from 0.5 l bottle from local ’trinkgut’, best before January 2018. Clear, golden amber with a medium large, frothy, stable, white head. Sweetish, slightly grassy-spicy aroma of grains and some straw. Moderately sweet, minimally bitter, slightly grassy-spicy taste of grains and straw, followed by a short, moderately bitter, quite grassy-spicy and slightly metallic finish. Medium body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Okay!
