26/1/2023. BIAB at the 14th Colchester Winter Ale Festival. Pours clear golden with a small bubbly white head. Aroma is funky, sweet apple, light solvent, mucky and woody. Quite sweet, light bitterness and tartness. Medium body, oily, soft carbonation. Nicely done.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Golden colour, some short-lived bubbles on top and aroma of apple, fleshy. Taste is sweet, apple, fruity, fleshy, with orchardy funk, leather, and juicy spicy tannins. Medium bodied, low carbonation, lingering sweet and drying tannic finish. Nicely drinkable.

0.1 l on tap (hand pump) at ’The Shakespeare’. Clear, golden yellow with a thin, quickly diminishing, fluffy, white head. Sweetish, slightly sourish, fruity and slightly funky aroma of ripe apples, some pear and a bit of barnyard. Rather sweet, just a bit sourish, moderately fruity and slightly funky taste of ripe apples, almond, barnyard, sweat and some pear, followed by a medium long, slightly tart, rather dry finish. Medium body, a little astringent and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice!
