Draught @ CBC’15
Aroma has licorice root and deep roasted notes. Also hints of coffee. Flavour has rubbery notes, some rhum and licorice. Finishes with lingering whisky peatiness. A bit one-dimensional.

Draft at the source in the after math of Tampa Beer week. Pitch black color without head in the snifter. Aroma is strong whiskey treatment on top of chocolate and caramel peaking through all the whiskey. ABV wasn’t not listed on the chalk board and I forgot to ask the bartender. However, it was slightly hot with a warming sensation after the swallow, giving a warm belly. Base stout is almost over powered from the barrel with chocolate and caramel in dominated. Wish I could have bought a bottle but it was a pre-sale. This would age nicely for a short while.
