Pours black, no real head. Smell is sweet, thick, roasty malts, mild cinamon. Taste is intense, roasty, sweet , thick & sticky, roasted malts, cinnamon, bit of pepper-heat. pretty decent, yet notup the same ally as some of the other cycles. Earlier Rating: 9/27/2015 Total Score: 3.6bottle kindly shared by someone at BBF 15. Pours black, small grey head. Smell is cinnamon, taste is cinnamon, bit peppery. Ok but once again too thin and unbalanced.

(650ml "Greatest Hits &+" bottle from Mikkeller Webshop) Pours pitch black with a rapidly receding pale brown head. Aroma of chocolate, cinnamon, toasted cacao, nutty roast, moderate vanilla, earthy but lightly spicy chili, moderate bourbon, light coconut, some dark caramel sweetness and dark fruit. Flavour is medium sweet, praline, vanilla, cinnamon bun, baking chocolate, nutty toasty roast, smoky chili, some dark fruit (dates/prunes), moderate warming bourbon, wet oak, light burnt notes. Finish is quite dry, moderately bitter, a little spicy from the chili. Fair amount of lingering cinnamon hearts adding pepperiness, some bourbon into the aftertaste as well, burnt wood, cacao. A bit thin-bodied for the strength of flavour, though medium-bodied generally. Below average carb. No real booze. Very nice, other than the mouthfeel this is bang-on balanced across its components. Very drinkable.

Bottle shared at Moeder Lambic - big thanks to Jeremy. Pours oily black-brown with a rich, creamy tan head. Nice chipotle notes in the aroma, some cocoa, roast, bourbon. Medium to big sweet flavour with pleasant chili and cinnamon spice, rich chocolate, more roast. Medium to full bodied, somewhat chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming finish from both the booze and the spicing, lots of hearty chocolate character, more cinnamon and pepper, fudge, rocky road. Awesome.
