Bottle from Beyond Beer, 5.6%. Ruby red with a short-lived head. Nose is very natural cherry, deep and intense. The flavor is dry, complex, dark red cherry flavor with hints of caramel. Great body, a bit of natural sourness, clean hop bitterness with a hint of woodiness. Very nice layered complexity. A really excellent, natural cherry experience.

Four pack from Appalachian. I can't make out these crazy bottling codes. Duvel glass @home. Syrupy, maroon pour, opaque, but filtered. Pretty pink head. Smells of cherry cordial, oxidized port wine, breakfast cereal, savory cooked veggies. Rich port upfront, acidic, earthy & slightly medicinal cherries in the middle, malic acid, Spite, browned grease & vinegar on the finish. Some chalky yeasties & their accompanying flavors as the second pour arrives. Taste is more murky than complex. Well carbonated, but rich, sticky & not particularly boozy. I think I enjoy(ed) regular Rodenbach more. It's been a while though.

Light brown colour with thin head. Aroma and flavour have a sherberty sweet and sour tang. Finish is surprisingly sweet too.

Bottle from Bine & Vine. Pours dark cherry with a moderate foamy beige head. Aroma of slightly musty wood and tart fruits of the non-dark sort. Med body at least. Flavor starts with mildly sweetish cooking cherries, develops musty wood, and finishes cherry tart/sweet with emphasis on the tart. Refreshing. I could drink this all day.
