Clear amber-ish color with a fine off white head that leaves a lovely lacing on the sides of the glass. Caramel, mild bready and herbal aroma. Ok body and a fine carbonation. A bit bready, caramel malty, herbal and mild citric flavor.
[Bottle from a trade with Erzengel]

Bottle received in Euroswap 1, 2015. Pours clear amberish golden with a frothy offwhite head that leaves some sparse spotty trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is malty and slightly floral with biscuits, bread, hay, minerals and lemon peal. Taste is sweet, bitter, slightly floral and tiny easrty with biscuits, caramel, golden syrup, hay, minerals and lemon peal. Mouthfeel is soft, round, very tiny astringent and medium bodied. Finish is sweet and tiny bitter with biscuits, caramel, hay, minerals and lemon peal. Simple yet drinkable amber lager. --- Beer merged from original tick of Vormanns Rotgold on 05 Mar 2015 at 20:21 - Score: 7. Original review text: Solid solid malty lager. Nice mineral, graham crackers and hay character.

Beer from my hometown brewery. Lovely amber colour but it doesn’t really live up to the expectations that it creates. Not much aroma but quite smooth. Don’t need to have another one. I’d prefer Hövels.

Geruch malzig fruchtig, Karamell. Geschmack leicht röstmalzig, Karamell, fruchtig.

500ml bottle. Clear orangey dark golden to amber colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Bready, malty aroma has a cautious strawy touch, hints of husk. Taste is dry, malty, some husk, minimally soapy.

Bottle, Amber, fine caronation, offwhite lace. Fairly low-key aroma and flavor, light malt, slight fruit, subdued hops, berries and caramel aftertaste. Chewy body. I like the light fruityness, but otherwise it is a bit anonymous.

(bottle) Clear, deep golden to amber colour with a big and tanned foamy head. Malt-accented aroma with notes of caramel, citrus, as well as hints of onions and metal. Mildly sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Cara-malty and delicately herbal hoppy taste with notes of onions in the aftertaste. Not really convincing. Tastes like the elders described a working class Lager from the Sixties. 11.IX.12

Bottle(purchased at the Brauerei): Deep golden with an amberish sheen, some lazy carbonation detectable, big - slowly diminishing - fluffy off-white head, bready-fruity nose, metallic aromas in the background; mild sweet-bitter flavour, light bodied and quite soft; metallic traces returning in the bready-bitter finish. Not so glorious...
