This is a whiskey barrel-aged version of our fan favorite hazelnut coffee imperial stout. This delightful masterpiece sat in the barrels for a year and a half, and the barrel character really shines! Smooth, sweet whiskey and vanilla are prominent in the beginning, then give way to loads of hazelnut coffee. Your taste buds then thank you for the matching flavors that are accentuated by rich chocolatey goodness. A milky sweet finish then carries you away into the darkness that absorbed all of the lights.

Didn't take much notes as this was in between ratebeer and brewver. This one was not as adjunt forward as the base version was, and hence I like the base version just more than I like this one. Still pretty damn nice though !
