The deep ebony colour and a roasty aroma with notes of wood and chocolate in balance with the sweetness from the malt are the crucial points of our Weihenstephaner Stout. Hallertauer Magnum, Hallertauer Mittelfrüh and Delta
hops in combination with a variety of different roasted malts, a top-fermenting ale yeast and our local Freising water as well as the technical skills of our brewers result in a Bavarian Stout of 5.6% with a thick chestnut-coloured
head and a bold finish.

From tap at the Hoppy Pub, Thessaloniki. Dark brown color with beige head. Roasted malty, light coffee and hazelnut, light bready, hoppy grassy and light yeasty. Sweet and bitter taste like aroma. Light to medium oily body with average carbonation.

Keg at BD CJ. It pours darkest brown with a small beige head. The nose is smooth, roasty, stone fruits, juicy plum, prune, blackcurrant chewits and chocolate. The taste is bitter-sweet, rich roast, ash, pepper, plum, red grape, prune, liquorice and toasty stuff with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Well rounded and rather drinkable. Not a game changer, but works fine for me...

Tap at Kaisla. Dark brown color, small steady beige head. Aroma is grassy, berryish and a bit caramelly. Light-bodied to medium-bodied. Caramel, licorice and grassy hops. Suprisingly lagerish. Ale "fruityness" is missing. Is this dunkel?
