(Bottle, labeled Vit Sommaröl) Golden yellow colour with very brief white head, leaving no traces whatsoever. Floral, spicy nose with notes of yeast, coriander, wheat, tropical fruit and lemon. Some sweetish malt notes are evident (typical of Slottskällan beers). Floral, lemony wheatish taste with spicy notes of coriander and clove, unripe banana, plums and apples. Hints of yeast as well. Better weizen character in the taste than nose. Not very style typical, but rather refreshing and nice. (But is this really the same Vit that was launched several years ago?)

Bottle at RBESG 2007. Very good wheat beer in my humble opinion. Superb and one of my favourite beers of the session.

Bottle. Pours a hazy golden color with a small white head. Sweet malty spicy aroma with some hints of citrus. Sweet malty spicy wheaty flavor with some hints of bananas. Sweetish malty spicy finish.

As Slottskällans Vit Sommaröl
Muddy greenish blond color, poor head. Some sweetness; it has both a citrus and a spicy character (aroma and flavor), and light acidity.

(50 cl bottle from Systembolaget) Tried with the yeast sediment poured in. Shady yellow color, big fluffy, but non-lasting, head. Acidic spicy and a bit banana estery scent. Nice but a bit too mild and weak taste of banana and some spices. Smooth a bit thin mouthfeel that lacks the charasteristic high co2 body. Low bitterness. An ok summer beer, but they could have been a bit more bold.

SBWF 06. Plastic/banana aroma. Cloudy yellow colour, small white head. The flavour is citric balanced by banana, but also with some rottenness in it.

draught. Hazy yellow colour, small white head. Aroma is wheat, citrusfruit and sweet malts. Flavour is wheat, sweet caramel and malts. Very caramellish weissbier. Pleasant and welldone, and refreshing!

(Bottle 50 cl) Cloudy, yellowish golden with a huge head. Fruity aroma with notes of yeast. Very fruity and citrusy flavours in a soft body. Limited bitterness. Very wellmade example of a German Hefe which could easily be mistaken for one of the best Germans in the style. 310700

A little unclear dark yellow beer with no head. It has a slightly sour wheatbeer like aroma. The flavor is a little flat and that of malted wheat and orange. Not a wheat beer, that I'll travel to get. Second time around I couldn't even finish the beer - only the second beer I've sampled I couldn't finish.
