Keg at Brussels Beer Project, Brussels, Belgium. A black coloured pour with a thin beige head on top. Roasty, malty, chocolate aroma. Tastes the same, roasty, malty, chocolate, coffee, sweet. Really nice stout from Spain.

Tasting glass draft @ BBP. Black, small mocha head. Nose is thick herbal syrup, cacao, herbal molasses. Taste is plastic blueberry thick herbal syrup cacao, plastic, blueberry syrup. Body is same odd syrup. Strange but not bad even if quite odd for the style.

Draft @ Planet Oedipus ’17. Black color. Dense beige head with good retention. Aroma’s: roast, coffee/mocha. Retronasal it’s moderate sweet, fruity, mocha. Flavor is moderate sweet, roasted. Medium bodied. Rather low carbonation. Finishes with roasted bitterness. Nice!

On tap at Planet Oedipus. Black colour, beige head. Aroma of laurel, liquorice, caramel, roasted malts. Flavour of drop (laurel and liquorice), roasted malts, caramel sweetness, hint of chocolate, bittersweet finish. Light to medium bodied.

Bottle. Black pour. Aroma has salty caramel, coffee, licorice and creamy caramelised malt. Taste of filter coffee, caramel, licorice, subtle salt, caramelised malt and some prune. Bitter sweet finish. Nice one.

Tap at Kaapse festival. Almost black with nice dark beige head. Some smoke, roasted malts, ash, dried blackberries, burnt toast, marzipan. Medium sweet with roasted bitterness. Over medium bodied.

Draft at Kaapse 3 year anniversary festival. Near black with a thick beige head. Aroma of dark chocolate, light overripe dark fruits, light roast, a little coffee and caramel. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
