Using fennel added in the whirlpool and beetroot in secondary, this bright, reddish-orange saison has a complex aroma of herbal and fruit notes, with soft spice, citrus zest, berries and delicate, earthy fennel flavours.

On tap at Brew By Numbers Bermondsey. Hazy pink red colour lasting pink head. Slight juicy fruit bubblegum. Some beetroot flavour comes through. Some herb. Herb and beetroot aroma. Clean. Some funky saison flavour. Some dryness on the finish. Didn’t think i could enjoy a beer with beetroot in but this worked. Like being in a field in Flanders. Good.

Keg at the brewery. A hazed bright pink peach coloured pour with a lasting thin pink head. Aroma is liquorice fennel, crisp grains, wheat, earthy, hint of mushroom. Flavour is composed of light crisp malts, mellow saisom yeast, liquorice, all sorts, fennel, Palate is light and crisp, refreshing, airy carbonation. Drying finish.
