19/07 On tap at the brewpub. It poured clear, very dark red body with medium sized brown head atop. Fine smoked malt, cappuccino and wood aroma, typical oatmeal. Nice, slightly sweet roasted and dark malt flavor, chestnut, toffee, chocolate, some tobacco and touch of dry, more neutral papery hops. Medium to fuller in body with nice cappuccino and chestnut finish. Nice, tasty one!

draught at the brewpub, medium long lasting creamy head, opaque very dark brown colour, herbal hoppy aroma with light roasted coffee, flavour of coffee, dark bread, grapefruit and dark chocolate, long bittery chocolate aftertaste. Unusual stout with a very strong hoppy bitterness, quite enjoyable.

Tap at the brewpub, Vienna. Pours red-brown, mostly clear, with a decently thick, light tan head. Good and roasty aroma on this fella, with strong, raw flower hops. Great flavor, robust roasted malts, big bitterness, some baking cocoa, grass. Medium bodied with fine, creamy carbonation. Strong bitter finish, lots of raw flower hops, nice lingering roast. A really hoppy stout. Great.

Eejit Oatmeal Stout (Whole Leaf Hopped). Almost pitch black. Cappuccino nose. Very light caramel. Soft, light body, lovely notes of milk coffee, fine roastiness. Quality stuff, +1 aroma, +1 palateEejit’s Oatmeal Stout. Extremely dark brown-black body. Tan thick white head. Dusty nose, vaguely chocolatey, sweetish aroma hop. Faint though. Light soft body, with bitter-tart herbal aroma hop. Subdued roasty maltiness. Expected more to be honest. Perfumey little thing that ends a bit yeasty. Not their best beer but still cool.

Draught at the brewpub as Eejit’s Oatmeal Stout. Black coloured, small to medium sized brown head that went away slowly, light roasty nose. Light roasted malt, cocoa powder and mild coffee with quite hoppy finish. Not so good as I’ve expected but still drinkable.
