Bottled. Cloudy amber, small head. Caramelly nose with grapefruity hops. Soft solid body, salty and citric. Although the hop freshness is gone the grapefruit peels go really well with the mild caramely malt and provides a balanced somewhat resiny bitterness.

Bottle shared with Per, thanks! Full misty amber-red body. Small white head that went away relatively fast. Sweet malty heavy peachy nose. Sweetish peachy yeasty taste, typical for an APA that has lost in freshness, slightly chalky. Eh. I’ll try to get this fresh.

Pours a nice amber with a thin tan head. Sweet fruity aroma. Cherries, berries, light citrus notes, and just a little malt. Medium, smooth feeling body. Fruity flavor with some floral notes as well. Light citrus, berries, bright fruits, light toasted malts, and a soft bitter finish. Not a complex brew, but very refreshing and rather tasty.

Amber red color. Peaches, cherries, chocolate, brandy nose. Caramel backbone with peaches and cherries showing up a bit. Med-full bodied. Pale malts very obvious. Reminds my of McAuslans Pale Ale, but heavier, a bit more bitter and without the balance.

Bottle from Yamaoka. They call it a Pale Ale that’s almost an IPA. Deep amber color with lots of orange. Low head. Aroma of American hops, with lighter malt, amber malt, caramel, wheat? Fruity and light, with very strong hops. Flavor of amber malts, caramel, lots of hops. Even though it has tons of hops, it is very smooth and drinkable. Nice stuff, a bit too light on the malt, maybe. These guys are doing lots of interesting variations on the pale ale.
