330ml bottle shared between 6 at the Midlands tasting on 24th aug 2014. Black pour with a full tanned head. Aroma is fruity with a malty feel, some sourness creeping in too. The taste was weak flavours of dark chocolate and dark fruits that had gone off. Strange, could well have been an infected bottle.

Pours a deep black color topped with a very generous cream colored head. There is a pleasantly mild malty aroma, slightly roasted, some coffee and caramel as well. The taste is creamy and slightly sweet. There’s some caramel present, and a little coffee. Finishes with a slight bitterness. A very enjoyable and easily drinkable beer.

Bottled, 0.33l. Clear dark brown color with thin creamy brownish head. Aroma of caramel, roasted malt, coffee and floral hops. Taste starts with strong roasted malt, then followed by coffee and smoke notes. Mouthfeel is crisp and dry, aftertaste is long and moderate grassy bitter. Full body, thick texture and lively carbonation in palate. Courtesy of CanCrusher...

Ogi’s. Impressive appearance - veeery dark, blackish amber-red with a big, huge almost brownish head, thick, that went away relatively slowly. Good job! Dark malts in the aroma, dusty, creamy, coffee... but there’s something there that I can’t pinpoint that slightly, just slightly puts me off. Slightly sourish taste that delivers more of the same and gets redeemed by a lovely dark chocolate finish. Can’t guess if it’s top or bottom fermented really, but it’s one of this brewery’s best.
