Bottle from trade with dnicolaescu, many thanks. Deep golden color with medium off-white head. Caramel, candies, sweet malt in aroma. Sweet malt, honey, caramel, candies with herbal notes in taste. Light hoppy bitterness in finish. Surprisingly enjoyable beer.

Bottle at Bedford Beer Festival. Amber/red with a frightening fluorescent tinge. Fair bit of carbonation. Grain, malt and honey in the nose. The taste is sweet and malty. Fairly good at first but it become cloying very quickly. Honey and creamed corn notes. No depth, but not all that bad in the moment. Too cloying to finish the bottle though. By the way this is not a ’Belgian Ale’, more of an amber ale or a Vienna. But there we are.

BOTTLE 50 CL.

Look: clear amber with a small light beige head with poor retention.
Aroma: quite faint, caramel with tad of hops.
Taste: caramel sweetness, witch just enough hop bitterness to balance. Light bitter finish. Decent.

Flaske på RB samling hjemme (takk til Petro): stor maltaroma med litt krydder. Pent skum som blir en tynn film. Maltsmaken dominerer med en bæraktig antydning som gjør den enkel og lett å drikke. Rund munnfylde.

500ml bottle via Gaute. Crystal clear copper coloured body, creamy, off-white head mostly diminishing. Fragile lacing. Modest smell of grain and dried fruits. Almond, honey, and caramel flavours, bone-dry. Semi-sweet ending, notable but integrate alcohol. Medium bodied. A bit flat on the swallow, but still with some interests (Tromsø, 18.10.2013).

Dark orange colour with moderate head. Aroma: corn, caramel, yeast, winy notes. Medium body. Pleasantly sweet corny taste with signs of belgian yeast. Slight hints of hops. Nicely balanced. Decent
