500ml flip-top bottle from a local Polish store. Drank at Auntie Sue’s on 31st January 2026, poured into an old Konigsbacher Pils glass tankard. Misty golden body, decent white crown that lasted a while. Aroma of dirty dishes, luckily it tasted better, semi-sweet breads and a light maltiness being the flavours I detected. It’s fine without blowing anybody’s socks off.

50cl flip-top bottle from a small beer shop next to Hiiu Rimi, Tallinn. Pours almost clear golden with a white head. Mild grainy aroma with faint yeasty notes, fruits and hint of grass. Low flavour intensity and ditto bitterness, but fairly clean and easy to drink. Completely drinkable, but certainly on the boring side.

Bottle from the Eastern European shop on Dalry Rd, Edinburgh.
Appearance - murky yellow to brown, unfiltered, alright. Fluffy, white head.
Nose - brown bread with an edge of orange.
Taste - more orange, going into marmalade with brown bread and cake in the background.
Palate - medium bodied, creamy and sweet middle, some dryness on the finish.
Overall - quite fun!

Swing top bottle from polish deli on George St Aberdeen. It pours hazy yellow - gold with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is musty, damp, spent grain, spice, nuttiness, paper, some sweetness and wet grass. The taste is dry, crisp, damp grass, cardboard, paper, damp grass, spice, nutty, woody, stale and pencil shavings with a dry, grainy finish. Average body and high, foamy carbonation. Like the branding, but it's disappointing. Feels a bit grainy and stale. Meh.

Bottle from the Polish shop in Stevenage shopping centre. A long afternoon of drinking fine red Burgundy with a good friend meant I needed a lager. So had this... Anyway, it's a reasonable pilsner. Nothing special, but perfectly drinkable. Maybe a bit of an industrial taste??

Bottle from a local supermarket in Poland. Looks simple but good. Beer in the glass with a nice head. Starts mild but not washy, wheaty, grainy. Mild spicy notes. Background with mild sweetness. Finish well balanced. Not bad.

FlipTop Bottle 500ml (bought in Poland)
Golden colour, small white head. Sweetish malty aroma with some grainyness. Light to medium-bodied. Sweet malty flavour, light grain, low bitterness. Not very exciting Kellerbier.
