Can at home got in the Oktoberfest fever of things. Chestnut pour. Nose is slight sweet malty. Tastes of carame, malt, peppery, hint of earth, bready. Slightly sweet. Crisp. Good stuff

Pours a nice golden amber from a can with a nice thick head. Rich bready aroma, similar flavor with some nice spicy noble hop notes, sweet but not cloying, well-balanced. Pretty good beer.

Bottle. Amber/orange body with a fizzy, white head. Aroma of toasted grain, cookie and a hint of plastic and moth balls. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly bitter. Medium body, watery/sticky texture, lively carbonation. Taste of bready malts, light floral hops.

Received in trade from gregwilsonstl, thanks for the opportunity! Mostly clear deep golden color with a huge frothy off white head that shows great retention. Hints of sulfur and mercaptin when first poured, but those subsided. Sweet bready pils with just a touch too much in fruity esters on the nose with a light floral hop. Bready sweet pilsner maltiness with an almost cereal or oat quality to it, really digging the malt profile on the this brew. Light bitterness with a spicy hop flavor that is also light. Definitely one of the better stateside O-fest brews that I’ve tried!

16.9 oz bottle purchased at Royal Liquors in Kansas City, Missouri. The pour is darker golden copper with a one inch slightly off white head that lasts and leaves behind nice lacing. The aroma is traditional Marzen with toasted caramel malt grains and floral. The taste is malt, apple fruity, followed by earthy grain and bright mineral hops. There is a hint of clove yeast in the lingering finish. The palate is medium bodied, active carbonation and a slightly cloying honey sweet mineral finish.

Pour is a clear copper with a small tan head. Aroma is some cereal grain with a dry cracker. Not really much aroma. Flavor is some caramel malts and a bit of sweetness toward the end. Even though I’m not fond of the style this was still just ok. Light body and light flavor.
