Brewed for our annual Oktoberfest celebration (Oktoberfest St. Louis), is malty yet well-balanced like the bier traditionally served at Oktoberfest in Munich.

Sample at Fox & Turtle Restaurant. Clear amber-gold color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel, malt and mild hops. Light-bodied with flavors of caramel malt, mild grassy hops and a tough of fruit. The finish is toasted malt and caramel. Decent overall.

Can from Craft Brewed. Pours a clear toasted gold with a finger of off-white head that lingers, then leaves a gorgeous ring around the glass. Proper bready malt aroma with some pretzel notes with light grassy hops. Toasted bread on the palate with light peppery hop notes. Lingering spicy European hops and dry finish. Very drinkable, easily the best American-made marzen I've had this year. --- Beer merged from original tick of Oachkatzlschwoaf on 22 Sep 2018 at 22:57 - Score: 8. Original review text: Awesome marzen. Tons of bready malt aromas with pretzel and light grassy hops. More pretzel on the palate w/ lingering peppery hops. All day

16 oz can from Tavour. Electric orange golden pour, huge rocky head rises above the lip of the stein. Big doughy, bread notes, pretzel for the aroma. Taste too hits the spot for malty, bready flavors, a hint of peppery, spicy elements at finish. Medium to thick mouthfeel. Super smooth.

The most legit american Oktoberfest lager I've ever had, at least from memory. Good stuff.

Sampled from the tap at GTMW 2017. Pours a clear golden orange with a tan head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma has a lot of grains, straw and bread with some hay backing. Flavor has notes of sweet grains, hay, straw and a bit of bread backing.

Canned 473ml. -Darker golden/pale amber coloured, medium sized creamy off-white head, lively carbonation, mild malty nose. Sweet malty, bready, light caramel and fruits with notes of grain and moderate bitter/sweet finish. Good brew. No ABV on the can.

Can. Thanks Ogi! Clear amber-golden body, lasting small white head. Full malty aroma, slightly eggy, sweetish, fruity-perfumey, anything but cloying. Light, clean, creamy malty, fruity taste, simple but effective, ending a bit minerally and dry, balanced pretty much just right, but with nearly a void in place of the aftertaste. That's the only thing resembling a "fault" with it as it's an excellent, perfectly crafted lager. Don't remember of a better German-brewed Oktoberfest. Hats off!
