Bottiglia. Il naso viene catturato dal fruttato. L'olfatto viene stimolato in maniera normale e la maniera in cui permane è sufficiente Il cappello di schiuma resiste poco. La grandezza delle bollicine è a grana media Il liquido è di consistenza limpida. Il colore è giallo ambrato. Il corpo è rotondo. L'amaro è medio. La forza gustativa è normale e si prolunga in modo sufficiente. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di pronta beva. Il retrogusto è di decente intensità. Sul tetto della bocca finiscono sentori di miele, pane, biscotto, frutta secca, erbaceo e agrumi.

Optisch präsentiert sich trübes, dunkelrotes Kupfer, Die weiße, feinporige Schaumkrone weist einen leicht rötlich-bräunlichen Stich auf, ist wässerig-flaumig und hält überaus gut. Schöne karamellige und süßlich-herbale, leicht würzige Duftnoten. Der Antrunk kommt frisch, weichspritzig, leicht karamellig und herbal-würzig. Am Gaumen zeigt sich ein mäßiger, karamelliger Malzkörper. Dazu kommt eine kräftige holzige bis kräuterartige Würze, die gemeinsam mit dem Malz das Hauptgeschehen übernimmt. Zarte Noten von reifem bis überreifem Steinobst, sowie eine akkurate Hopfenherbe fügen sich aus dem Hintergrund sehr gut in das Geschehen ein. So ergibt sich auch ein sehr harmonisches und überaus interessantes Gesamtbild. Zwar noch nicht wirklich komplex, aber doch schon vielschichtig. Haptik und Süffigkeit sind bei diesem Bier absolut gegeben, wenn auch nicht übermäßig toll. Es ist dennoch eine Freude, dieses Bier zu trinken. Im Nachtrunk halten die Aromen unglaublich lange an, wirken teilweise sogar ein wenig wärmend und klingen nach mehreren Minuten mit einer schönen Herbe in der Kehle aus.

330ml bottle @ Last Beer Tasting Before Lockdown 2.0, Chez Sophie, Oct 20. Brought by me, thanks Rauchbierlover for this. Murky deep brown appearance, lacklustre off-white head. Aroma of oxidised mucky yeast. Taste continues. Clearly not the intended result. Rated kindly.

Monday 2nd Nov 2020: Monthly Beer Share at Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Four hardy souls and plenty of variety, some good snacks too! Thanks Mat for this 33cl bottle, via a trade; BB Dec 2020. Cloudy dull amber body, white topping. Think this was somehow 'oxidized' as it didn't smell or taste right. Nothing Belgian about it either. Can only score it poorly.

Bottle, 0.33l. Cloudy copper pour, thin soapy white layer on top. Minimal lacing on the glass. Good on the nose, floral and fruity notes, ripe fruits, spices, caramel. Thin to medium body, lively carbonation, a bit aggressive. Fizzy mouthfeel, prickly on the tongue, texture feels a bit lightweight and watery. Balanced taste, sweet malt, subtle bitterness in the aftertaste. Aroma feels a bit subdued, not forward enough. It's there but feels somewhat empty. Caramel, herbs and spices, ripe fruits. Earthy notes, minerals, yeast. Mild sugary. Lingering alcohol burn, very subtle. Short lasting finish. Good, but could be better.

DIe Abkürzung IBA soll für Istrian Belgian Ale stehen. So kommt es anfangs als Tripel und erinnert dann weiter an ein malziges Dubbel. Es ist kein klassisches Belgisches, stellt aber auch nicht diesen Anspruch. Es ha schöne karamellig-spße NOten und einen ordentlichen Alkoholeinschlag. Der Geschmack entwickelt sich beim Erwärmen und daher sollte es nicht zu kalt getrunken werden. Leichte Krischaromen runden das in sich geschlossene Bier ab. EInmal ein etwas anderes Belgisches, aber nicht schlecht.

Bottled. Hazy amber, mid sized head. Floral hops, husk and marzipan up front. Mid dry with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Husky and lightly caramelly. Grassy with notes of citrus. Resinous bitter finish.
