Frothy white good mostly lasting head. Dark brown colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Average light bitter finish. Oily palate.

[Handpump at the brewery.] A bright tawny brown pour with an amber gleam and a thin cream head; aroma of brown sugar; sweet in the mouth with malty caramel; and a slightly earthy finish. A good old fashioned mild.

From cask. Pours dark brown, deep amber glare. Small off white head. Aroma is roasted malt. Breadish. Bitter, slight herbal. Tossted. Medium dry. Breadish and roasted dark malt finish.

Cask at the Rake, Borough. A vague malty basement aroma. An extremely dark chestnut. Thick off-white head. Creamy with a sour tang to the finish. Berries and coffee. Light bodied. Soft. Light carbonation. Astringent finish. A great mild.

Cask @ Tap East, Stratford E20. Pours an amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma. Fruity malty caramel flavor with weak hoppy hints. Has a fruity malty caramel finish.

Cask at Tap East, Stratford. Clear brown with a small off white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, toffee, light spice notes and light overripe dark fruit. Flavour is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter. Light medium bodied with very soft carbonation.

Cask at tap East. Pours clear ruby brown, nose is roasted, chocolate, hint of fruit, taste is sweet toffee, roasted.
